How to Install Hansa Financials Demo

1. Insert the Countdown CDRom into your computer.

2. On the desktop you should have "My Computer" which is an icon of a computer, double click.

3. Now you will have a window which has a list of drives, A is the floppy disc drive, C is your system and usually D is your CDRom drive. Your CD drive should now read "Countdown PC (or Mac) Programs, double click on it.

4. You now have a selection of folders double click on the Hansa Financials folder of your choice, current versions are distinguished from previews of new versions.

5. Your window will now be full of icons, in the middle there will be a picture of a computer which says "Setup" underneath (NOT the smaller computer with the Internet symbol), double click on it.

6. The screen should now have the Countdown Systems backdrop and a window telling you where the program has gone. It should read "C:\Hansaversion*", if it doesnÍt make a note of it. Click on "Next" when it asks and then finally click on "Finish" Hansa Financials has loaded.

7. Close the window that is open at the moment, go to "My Computer" and double click, double click on Cdrive. You will now be looking at a selection of folders again, double click on Hansa Financials *. If you had a different location in Step 6 then go to that location instead of Cdrive.

8. In this window you need to scroll down by clicking on the downward arrow, until you find a red and grey book on its corner, underneath it will say "Hansa Financials - version number and date" and double click.

9. You are now in Hansa Financials and you are creating a demo database for you to familiarise yourself with the way the system works, then using your arrow keys on the keyboard, go down to the last choice "Office/2 DemoData" and double click on it.

10. This has now entered some demo data into Hansa, it contains customers, invoices, suppliers, stock etc.

11. You now have a "Select Company" window and Demo Company is highlighted, click OK at the top left-hand corner.

12. You are now loaded and ready to go with your Hansa Financials demo. You might like to use your Beginners Guide to put in some more demo data.
