Asahi Beer Europe, at Marble Arch, London, is a subsidiary of one of the largest brewing companies in Japan. In early 1999 they converted from Sage Accounting to Hansa Financials in order to manage the accounts of three branches, consolidate returns to the Japanese HQ and record the stock movements of beer across Europe. Asahi brew beer in Prague for import into a bonded warehouse in Holland and Hansa manages the payments of duty for these movements.

The multi-currency isssues are complex and Asahi also extensively use the powerful multi-dimensional analysis capabilities from "Objects" in Hansa. They currently have 4 PC users connected to an NT server in London and are using the modules: sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, stock, purchase orders, expenses and sales support.

Multay International manufacture high quality home furniture in factories in Indonesia and Romania and from their Sussex HQ, arrange container shipments to outlets throughout the World.

Hansa manages all aspects of their operations from sales contact, mailings, quotations through to sales orders, stock, work orders, production and the ledgers. 6 PC users access an NT server in Haywards Heath.

Weldmet Welding Alloys Ltd are an established Wimbledon based firm distributing welding supplies and equipment to the welding trade throughout southern England. The market is fiercely competitive and speed of delivery is an important feature of the service.

Weldmet converted from Tetra to Hansa Financials in 1997 to achieve tighter integration of the distribution and accounts functions. They currently have 8 PC users on an NT server with accounts, sales & purchase order processing, stock control and sales support modules. They have implemented telephone dial-up to the server for remote working and even today are continuing to develop their use of Hansa features.

 

International Therapy Examination Council

ITEC examine and accredit therapists worldwide and need to manage high invoice volumes and expenses from the examiners. ITEC converted from Sage to Hansa in 2000.

Imperial Cancer Research Technology

As part of the massive charity Imperial Cancer Research Foundation, ICRT is a trading company who licence research to pharmaceutical companies to bring the drugs to market. Countdown Systems supplied Hansa Financials and wrote a budget system linked to Hansa to meet ICRT's specific requirements. ICRT converted from Sage in 2000.

 

Labtech International

Labtech import and supply laboratories throughout the UK with equipment and supplies. They have a 10 user Hansa system implemented by Countdown in 2001. Labtech had been using Sage Line 100 for some years.

Frontline Television are a London based TV filming company with large international TV and film clients. Their role is to undertake TV crewing and filming assignments worldwide, often in dangerous "hot spots", and they even have a stock of strategically placed armoured vehicles to protect the crews under transport.

Frontline have a Mac server with three Mac users with the accounts, sales & purchase orders and stock control. Interestingly they use the back to back Sales Orders/Purchase Orders feature in Hansa Financials to assemble their film crews from a bank of subcontract technicians and they use the automatic interest levying features of the sales ledger to assist with credit control of their coroporate clients.

Frontline implemented 3 other packages on the Mac platform without success before they found Hansa Financials. Due to the chief exec's pressing overseas commitments, the entire system was implemented in a record 3 days to include data transfer, setup and user training with three consultants from Countdown (one of whom was under training himself).

Isoworth International manufacture and sell state of the art drinks vending equipment worldwide from their base in Luton, Bedfordshire. Sales orders, Stock Control and the ledgers were imlemented in 1999 with many stock items individually serial number tracked in multiple locations.

Vertikal Press uses Hansa from offices in Brighton and Germany accessed through the internet to a server hosted by an internet ASP.
