8 HINTS FOR HANSA AND OFFICE/2!

Hansa demo installation guide

Office 2 demo installation guide

1 - On a Mac, if you want to "save normal position" you can use the keyboard shortcut, "Cmd + Shift + S"

2 - The Page Up and Page Down keys are useful for scrolling through lists rather than clicking the book symbol.

3 - "Shift + enter" performs the same function as the OK button, while "Ctrl K" is copy and "Ctrl F4" will close a window, so in theory you can control both Hansa and Office/2 without even touching a mouse. Useful for diehard DOS users.

4 - If you have the paste window open and you want to search with a field other than the default or the one you have set with"save normal position", "Ctrl+ shift" will put a red line under each column heading. Typing the first letter of the column heading is the same as clicking on it with the mouse. This also works for moving between tabs on, e.g., the customer card.

5 - "New" or shortcut Ctrl N will save and close the previous transaction - useful for fast batch entry!

6 - F2 key on the PC will allow you to drill across to the record when your cursor is in a lookup field with a code in it. eg click into customer code on an invoice an key F2.

7 - A new setting in Sales Ledger enables the Item Status bar to be automatically loaded when you open a screen that implies pasting in an item.

8 - Ctrl Shift O is the shortcut for the OK checkbox and Enter Shift O is the shortcut for the OK button.
