New in Office/2 Version 3.8

There are several new features, the main ones are Value Packs, Calendar, Print Preview, Paper Clip, Drag & Drop and Wildcard.

Value Packs

Additional software licences can be purchased to give functions for Quotations, Purchase Orders, CRM & e-mail, Stock Locations, Group Invoicing, Currencies/Languages/Advanced Pricing and Dual Base Currency. 

Calendar

Upon clicking the Calendar icon you will have a six month overview of the year and by clicking on the book icon in the left hand corner of the screen, you can scroll backwards or forwards in time. You can also choose between monthly, weekly or daily overview. Your time will be organised quickly and easily and depicted in the form of different coloured bars. The colour depending on your tasks carried out. In true Hansa tradition, all activities are directly linked to the customer and contact register.

Print Preview

By holding down the Shift key and clicking on the print icon whilst looking at, for example, an invoice, you will exactly what will be printed. Great for designing forms and for the trees!!

Paper Clip

The Paper Clip that has now appeared on the top right hand corner of all records in  has got the following function from the Special menu ,

This means that any record in Office/2 can have a file or notes attached.

Drag and Drop

Any record can be dragged from a register browse window and dropped onto the paper clip. For example, if you want to attach a transaction to a customer, bring up the transaction register and the customer record, highlight the transaction and drag it to the paper clip on the customer card. The paper clip will then be holding a red icon to show that that customer has an attached file.

Wildcard

If you are looking for a customer and you know that the name contains, for example, Business, in the search field on the customer browse window type*Business and it will take you to the first record whose name contains Business.
